St Patricks Day Lucky Penny

st. patricks day lucky penny
I thought it would be fun this year for the girls to make a St Patricks Day Lucky Penny to pass to their friends at school, or to leave on the ground for someone special to find.  My oldest daughter has been learning all about money and really loved the idea of having a lucky penny.  She can’t wait till St. Patrick’s Day so she can hand these out to her friends.  I keep telling her she needs to wear her Leprechaun Beard we made last year to school too but well she says “NO WAY MOM!”

I originally thought it would be fun to just leave these lucky pennies on the floor for people to find.  I was inspired by the book Sneaky Art with this idea!  And just imagine how it would brighten someones day to find this pretty penny in their path.  However my daughter did not want to do it that way, she wants to actually hand them to her friends.  She loves to give gifts and wants to be able to hand deliver these to her friends, which is a great idea too.  So no matter how you hand them out, weather it be leaving them to be found or passing them out they are sure to brighten someones day and make them smile… oh and don’t forget bring them LOTS OF LUCK!

Very cute. I just asked my son (who’s in 4th grade) what he thought if he found something like that on the floor and he said it’d be cool, so it looks like I’ll be making a few in this house! I guess I just wonder what would the school think of “littering”. Thanks for giving us this great idea at Countdown in Style!

I love this I can’t wait to make these with my grand sons. And they’ll really enjoy going around town placing them here and there. Makes for good memories.of course… I think I’ll use pennies with the year we’re in (ie 2017) and to make it even more personal use birthday years
