Snowman Hot Cocoa Gift

Hot Cocoa Gift

This year I thought it would be great for the girls to make homemade gifts for everyone.  They get so excited about giving others the things they make that this just felt like something they both would enjoy.  So we have been working away on all the homemade gifts they are making the last few weeks.

This Snowman Hot Cocoa Gift is for their teachers.  They both have awesome teachers again this year and I thought this would make such a cute gift that they could not only drink but use a decoration each year for the Holidays.  After they finish with the hot cocoa they can fill the jars with craft supplies, stickers, or just anything they want.

As far as difficulty level this is pretty easy, however my little one (she is almost 3) is still too young to use the hot glue gun so we had to help her with hers.  We put the glue on and she stacked the jars, then she told us where to glue the eyes, nose, mouth, and buttons.  That way she was still involved in the hole process even if she could not do the glue part.  My oldest (she is 6) was able to make the entire thing herself.

I saw this on Pinterest, too, and LOVE this idea! We actually have a ton of old baby food jars around, as well. Which is weird that I kept them because I am usually bit purger. Fun LOBS submission!

This is so precious! I even have a bunch of mini mason jars on hand for baking…but have I used them yet? Nope! Might need to use them for a Christmas giftie like this one. Thanks for the inspiration!

WOW, Thanks so much for featuring them! I got the hats at Michaels, however I have seen them at Jo-Ann’s too. If you can’t find them in the Christmas section, check in the doll making section.

This is so cute. I love that the children can help or even do it with supervision. When my daughter was little we made hot chocolate mix and put it in jars to give as presents. It was lots of fun. Thanks for sharing.
