Family Nachos Recipe

Family Nacho Night
It has been a while since I posted a yummy no fighting over dinner recipe like our Crescent Dinner Pockets.  So I thought it was about time to share a new family favorite with you all.  I actually got the idea for this recipe at Old El Paso Nachos recipes.  They have a few ideas of different yummy Nachos recipes to try.

One thing I like to do when I make recipes for the girls is to try and hide some extra veggies in there somewhere.  This time I put a bunch in the meat.  Since both my girls like carrots I did not worry about the fact that those could be seen in the meat, but the onion and green peppers usually cook down and can be hidden pretty well in ground meat.

The best thing about this family nachos recipe is that there was no fighting about dinner.  The girls were so excited that mommy was giving them chips for dinner they did not even complain when I put lettuce on top of theirs.  You can use the recipe I used below or modify it by what your family likes.  My husband suggested using Velveeta cheese instead of the shredded so we would not have to microwave the plates.  I am not a huge fan of Velveeta but if you like it give it a try.
