Valentines Activities

Valentines Day is a fun Holiday for the kids.  Both my girls love to make treats to pass out in their classes and to give to their teachers. In my oldest daughters Elementary School they also have the kids make a Valentine Mail Box each year to collect all the valentines they get.  So between all that and us just wanting to make some fun things we do a lot of Valentines Activities each year, and this is the place where you can find them all!

poor natalie, life is so full of disappointment at such a young age. i gotta say though, i love that the cat has two names, one of which is ditty…he’s kind of like the puff daddy/puffy/p diddy of cats. cool.

I don’t agree, Liam. It is perfectly lawful for trading standards officers to use young people to go in to a shop and ‘test purchase’ alcohol, and then to take action against the shopkeepers and use the evidence to review a license. It happens all the while but with the proliferation of outlets it is becomming more difficult, and that is why we need to narrow down the traders to try to see who is offending.

This artwork is awesome. I am currently using “remorse is for the dead” as my desktop background. :p The one with the hands reaching up and the eye, and the statue of liberty with the gun… Amazing. Love it all.

“80 m.p.h. is irrelevent when you’re escorting 5-ton vehicles.”What 5-ton? We escourted trucks(the backbone of military logistics)! The 5-ton has also been replaced by the ; it hauls ass too. “We mustn’t get bogged down in details here: the problem is, we’re getting involved in combat power where the civilian population is the threat.”Exactly, we -were- too concerned with seeking the decisive engagement, overlooking everything else.

Yes. Water helps for a number of reasons. Your body is made mostly of water. so when you drink water your body doesn’t need yo break it down. Also water helps your body to digest food better. The best reason is water has no calories unless you drink flavored water. And last, water is good for your complexion.

I’m jealous that you have a three-windowed studio from which to watch the rain! You obviously have an inner contemplative self that is nourished by your love of nature. Good luck on the book (and FOUR chapters by now, I’ll bet)!

What a great collection of valentine activities – I love the butterfly sucker cards – they are sooo cute! I also am always looking for kids recipes because my granddaughter and her best friend come over once a week and do their own cooking show of course videotaped which always goes on the family Facebook. They even have their own aprons now! I was trying to think of what they could do this week and the donuts are it! Thanks for sharing on the Four Seasons Blog Hop!

I was cleaning up the studio today and came across some linoleum blocks I made with my son (who is now in college) and I love that I could print more notecards with them… then, I thought AHHA! that may be a good fund raiser– maybe kids could make cards by creating blocks and hand-printing them? or gifting them to donors to keep the money coming (and then they don’t have to worry about tax etc.) They could make organic designs or hearts or something simple.~~every idea I have is art related ; )
